How my quilting journey began
It began when I was just a kid, and turned into something new and exciting when my sisters and I were given quilting tools and beginner lessons for Christmas over 20 years ago. I immediately took to quilting. I love starting new projects, finding new fabric, and the triumphant moment when my project is completely finished and I can say, “I made that!”
The problem is, the gap between piecing and finishing was so big (it seemed) I would leave dozens of projects unfinished, for years! The actual act of quilting felt so overwhelming that I wouldn’t even start. I was afraid that after working so hard to piece this just right, I would mess up the whole thing with my free-motion quilting skills (or lack thereof).
About 9 years ago, I started thinking about a Longarm. I was dreaming of how it could not only solve all my problems with unfinished projects, but how it could be a tool to help other people just like me. My youngest daughter had just started school, I was ready to go back to work in some way, and saw an opportunity to live the dream - turning my hobby into a business!
Now, I have the incredible privilege of working with your quilts. I get to see all the pretty fabric choices, I get to hold the project you’ve put so much energy into, and I get to quilt the life into it so you can hold your finished quilt and say, “I made that!”
